I am on Xbox One, normally modding isn't an issue for me, I know how to load order and how to properly install and uninstall everything properly. The issue here is, I have been unable to get new mods for the last day or so. Whether it's 100kb or 30mb.
I have cleared my reserved mod space, that didn't fix the issue.I have gone as far as re-installing the game itself. Still hasn't fixed the issue. I tried looking this up before posting it but the nearest article/post I could find related to my issue is over two years old (granted I was searching on mobile) Can someone educate me? I miss playing my game, but I'm at that stage where I absolutely can't go back to Vanilla. Edit; Hard Resetting when the issue arrises works for me. Post your experiences if it doesn't so we can continue to help eachother.
Edit 2; a lot of people have been mentioning hard resetting hasn't been working. I've also been experiencing this. Another method I've found to have worked is switching profiles while on the main screen and then clicking on mods or creation club. This forces a crash and resets the game.
Go back into skyrim/fallout and log back into your actual profile and repeat. Seems to work after one or two attempts for me. Edit 3; Let's all go to Bethesdas E3 panel and hold up signs saying 'Operation could not be completed' Edit 4; The profile changing method has been patched and doesn't work anymore. I can't stress this enough but seriously the only temporary fix is hard resetting.
Deleting your saves and or reinstalling will give you the same results as hard reseting until it works. It's a bug, there is no permanent fix until Bethesda addresses it. It’s February 12th and I’m having the same issue.
Leave it to Bethesda to ship a game then leave it broken for the next eight years. Bethesda used to be a company that I respected. As of late however, they have been absolutely shitting on their fanbase. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone to play Skyrim and been disappointed by just how broken the game still is.
I was going to play Skyrim tonight but I’m getting too frustrated. It just sucks seeing a game I love as much as this be crippled because the devs neglected (or didn’t/still don’t care enough) to fix their broken game. I found that going into your internet settings and “going offline” then back into the game and back into settings again and going online again. Fixes the issue on fallout for me 100% of the time. Basically just disconnecting and reconnecting to internet works to fix it on fallout. I don’t know about Skyrim as I haven’t tried. But every time you start a new game the issue comes back.
Like if you forgot a mod you wanted to install and already made a new game. You’ll have to do that again.
But this works for me every time.
